@sc, this one looks more like to damage to me. Are there any other areas of interest on this coin?

I was leaning towards damage as well. No there are no other areas that are effected.

I was only curious to see if there might have been traces of lamination issues elsewhere on the coin--could aid in deciphering what's going on within the tight-shot photo. So without that, I agree with Spence--PMD.
