I pulled this from the same bu roll as my 1921 VAM 41b. Is this a Struck Through Grease error? It has me puzzled. The devices have a somewhat polished look and the fields have a matte finish. I thought it was cleaned at first glance but that's not the case. These pics really dont do it justice as it looks really cool in hand. Any help is appreciated.

High EF details (severely polished) in my opinion.

I agree with Coinfrog that it's a VF/XF coin that appears to be polished.

Hey thanks for the replies. I was under the impression a polished coin would strip mint luster. It's still present on this one. Maybe these pics will help more.

I'd say AU. 1900-P's are known for flat strikes, and yours has it.

@suipakpaikungfu- Thanks for the flat strike reference. Could a flat strike allow the planchet of the flat strike areas to show more giving the appearance of a cleaned coin? I assure you this coin has not been cleaned and is uncirculated. You can get a cool reverse proof look to this on the obverse at certain angles.

I'll revise to AU-55. This coin is a good example of why trying to evaluate a high-grade coin from just a few images is basically a crapshoot.
