Hello! I am wanting to know if this is a retouched/re engraved die coin? The area in question is on the reverse of the coin. Some of the feathers look to be retouched, while the mouth seems to show what look like teeth and extends into the curve of the beak. The bottom star on right hand side looks to have a dot in it. Thanks in advance!

Looks to me like a die crack on the beak.

On the areas you are viewing as re-engraved areas, that is Machine Doubling. If the die were re-engraved, then that area would be higher on that affected area. A removal of die metal creates a raised on the design. Just Machine Doubling, not an altered die. (Machine always affects the outside edges of devices in what ever direction the machine forces the dies to move)
