Hello, Going thru some steel cents, was trying to identify Mint mark, but I think it was just a spot on the coin, so no MM, equals P. But when under the Microscope I noticed the 9, 4, and 3 looked doubled. Please share your thoughts. Thank you for your time!

We need a clearer, larger photo of the date, as is, it's really difficult to tell much.
If you want to clean up the coin, "Verdi Care" sold by one of our CFF members might help. Search in the upper left hand corner search box to find it.

This is the biggest I could get with most the coin. Tried to order the Verdi care, it's out, put my name on a list to be notified when back in stock. Thanks for the tip.

The 1943 cents are steel plated with zinc. Just like today's copper plated zinc coins show "split plate doubling" (which isn't true doubling) it can happen with the steelies.
Just a 1943P unfortunately in terrible shape.

Agree, just a split plating issue, common on the 1943 cents.

More like a toning issue (IMO)...much like you would see on Morgans......Others? Split plating... Don't believe I've ever seen that on 43s

Thank you all for taking the time to comment. What if anything should I do next? If DDD, graded? Or just 2X2 flip?

I agree with John1, this is DDD in my opinion. There is no premium paid for Die Deterioration. its a keep in a pile just because its a 43 steel cent. keep looking though
