Hello Coin Community!

This is an example of a Jefferson nickel that I sent into NGC. I would like to hear your opinions on what it would be graded.

I was hoping for full steps on this one, I would like to hear from you all why it did not receive that designation.

Thank you,
Ryan

Can you give us a larger close-up of the steps alone, please?

The weak area near the middle of the steps was probably just too weak. Also, the bottom step is missing, fairly common. Reverse of '38 is a tough one to get full steps on.

Agree with the above. Just enough softness and fragmentation to prevent a 5FS nod.

Doesn't look full steps unfortunately, fortunately however, it does look quite nice for an MS-66, very clean.

Not full steps. Nice coin with minimal marks, luster seems a bit cloudy.
