Looks to be a solid F-12 with nice circulation cameo. The marks around Liberty's eye and face are a little distracting, but typical for Barber dimes.

It depends on what you're collecting. I'm putting together a set of Barber dimes in Fine, and if I had an album I'd put it in one, but currently I use 2x2s. So it's just a matter of personal preference.

I'll say F-12, but possible ED issues.

Photograde VG10, F12, F15. So... F11 or F14 on this one. :)

My F-12 grade was based on clear detail in the obverse laurel wreath and reverse sheaf grain details. Grade should not be determined by LIBERTY alone.

photograde is not the final arbitrator on grade nor are the markers. other factors must be considered including a weak strike. once you get into the range, in this case VG/F you must look at the overall coin like; rims, sharpness of letters and devices, surface preservation, damage etc. photograde shows you the poster child for that grade and does not look at these. in this case you have 5 visible letters that you can make out, the rims are complete, the lettering on the obverse is sharp and not flattened, the date is raised and sharp, the cheeks are not showing the wear of a VG coin and the reverse detail is closer to F, therefore the grade.

We all have our opinions about this coin . Let me just ask , who here would pay F-12 money for this coin ? Also can I get some eye appeal numbers .

A portion of every letter in Liberty is visible. Also as Frog and panzaldi pointed out there are other details visible that take it to the F-12 grade.
Eye appeal is very lacking.
As they say, grading is subjective and everyone sees things differently.

maybe 4 out of 10. looking closer at the surfaces these photos are a little blurry and the lighting is not the best but there could be some surface rust around both sides as there appears to be an orange cast.

the coin is such a common date that can be found in higher grades and the difference in price between a G and an F is only a couple bucks. it doesn't really matter whether it grades G or F
