1897 Barber Half Dollar - Seller's Photos

Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 07/10/2020 2:07 pm This is not my coin so the photos are the seller's. I am looking at it as a possible purchase but thought I'd get come CCF opinions before doing anything. It looks like there might be some marks above and below the eye and there is a ring ding at 9:00 on the reverse. From the photos I can't tell if it's been cleaned or not, but it looks to have decent luster. Your thoughts on the coin are most welcome. Paul Bulgerin Report this Post to the Staff

That said, beautiful examples of 1897 half dollars do exist. There are better coins out there. JMHO, but I've seen quite a few of the coins you have posted, and I don't think you would be happy with this one. Report this Post to the Staff
