sublime, I don't think the mint mark is in that area of the coin, but I'll someone else say.

It would be nice if you found a 1914D

I looked at some pics and couldn"t be. It did get me going though. I just pulled that out of a bag of wheats.

Sorry sublime , there is no known example of the 14-D with the mint mark that far out of position .

its an anomoulus wear spot from circulation .

Wishfull thinking though. Nice photo and did you notice the slight appearance of a doubling on the 9 or is it the lighting?
