And I find it funny this is the first time I said anything back and yet people pile up on me I did however apologize and do hope I didn't hurt any feelings. I re read the post and realized I made a mistake. However I've I been called everything short of stupid on this site and no ones ever said anything to those people about being acceptable or hostile rather joined in with the agreed "quotes" laughs and smirks funny how that works oh well. I will continue to post I will just continue to let everyone say what they want. I do need the advice currency is vast tricky hobby. Oh and I will relax I guess it's better just to sit back and let people have their fun sticks and stones I don't want to get kicked off. I'm not saying what Tampa said this time was hostile I agree I misread and misunderstood his meaning of the bandaids but in my defense I have been heckled one to many times.

No worries Jeremy. Sorry to hear about members here giving you a hard time. Collecting is supposed to be enjoyed by like-minded people interested in the hobby without fear of ridicule. Learning the correct terminology, learning how to grade, learning the history can seem daunting at first but becomes second nature after time and experience. Sometimes asking about a note might lead you to more helpful comments than going with declaring they are something that they are not. We are all hear to learn bud.

Edited to add; When I first started collecting and joining numismatic forums, the rule that influenced my thought process the most was the rule that said, Attack the post, NOT the poster.

We are a community, so when one of us gets unnecessarily insulted, a few of us tend to push back. We aren't trying to make you feel bad, and none of us are insulting you, so please, don't insult us. Just try to keep an open mindset, and remember, this forum is full of people with decades of experience. We aren't insulting you, however, calling someone's advice "useless and ignorant" when they are just trying to help is very unnecessary. So please refrain from doing so. We are here to help, but remember to keep an open mindset. We're here to learn and assist those that seek to learn.

Ok maybe I'm not saying it right but the earlier comment never pointed towards anyone directly I believe I stated people in general not tampa. However I digress I apologized and well Steve I don't know how many more times I can do that. Is it at all possible we could get back to the coins. No harsh words intended I feel like it is what it is however I meant it or others perceived it.

To Tampa is that how my post originally came off? Ill try and be more clear when writing I have no idea if the bills where that or not I thought I was asking if the question are these fancy. As to the other posts I merely put the links up to show why I thought those could be that and I was under the impression I wasn't making a claim to what the bills where for sure but merely suggesting or asking if what I read was true. So thanks for the feedback Tampa I will re read before I post and try to be more transparent. I didn't mean to come off like I was an expert I meant to post it more like this is what I have came up with according to other websites and is this what I should be looking for. Also all and any information about the topic is always helpful I am in no way trying to sell anything if I post it it's because I bought it or came across it and a want to know if I really have something cool and one day valuable. I don't want to tell people I collect currency and when they ask me to show them a binder full of regular everyday coins or bills like I emptied my pockets and billfold before they came over. Thank you again and I will take your advice to be more thought full in my OP and my questions for my posts.

Eh it happens. Just got to move beyond it now. A lesson I learned and was told is: "One of the best ways to learn on here is to not answer first. Think what you think it is in your head, but don't write it down as it could give the person false information. Wait for others to reply and see if you were right. Repeat this over time and you'll really start to learn."

Like you I'm a collector and what impresses people are the "weird" notes for example:
1) World War II currency -Hawaii, North Africa
2) 1928 FDR notes that are exchanged for gold
3) A different seal set of US dollars
4) Horse Blankets (large sized notes)
5) Fractional, honestly people are like what? You mean these are real money?
6) and for my experiences obsolete currency. Showing someone an 1800's note issued by bank. People are like.. Huh? In the 1800's the government didn't issue currency? Banks did? People will spend time looking at

And I don't have any large amounts (500,1000,5000 or 10000) you have those and people are like those.

I've never seen anyone give a second look to any modern currency no matter the serial number. Just my 2 cents. Or my $2

A bit late but I love the first note. Even if the condition isn't great, that'd be straight into my collection. Awesome find!
