I've been picking up some nice U.S. type coins and just received this 1939-D Washington quarter. I was looking for a quality 1930s example.

The marks and fuzziness by the mint mark and "TER" in "QUARTER" are all on the holder.

Have fun!

You folks are pretty good.

I've always like the date 1939 and was looking for high grade 1939 from Philadelphia. In doing so I came across this Denver mint coin which was reasonably priced at about the same cost as a Philadelphia mint coin. I made and offer and the seller accepted.

Very nice! That's a beauty, and I would say the grade is spot-on!
