with Nieuw, also your lighting makes it impossible to really detect anything, lots of glare. Try to soften the lighting a bit

Looks like the read deal DDR-002 but I'm using my phone. But none of the markers are present. I'll add more info when I get home to make some side by sides.

Okay, this one was a tough one, but it is a 1983P-1DR-002, 1983 DDR-002, FS-802:

The spread on the centers were the thing to match to. The die appears to have been polished before this coin was struck. But It is a match with the arrows above.

It is a tough one to learn, I'll definitely give you that. My first thought was, "Hey, this looks like the real deal" and coop confirmed it! Congratulations! A real DDR! So then the next question is, which one? I haven't checked VV, but coop says DDR-002, and you can always trust coop to know!

You'll be an expert here in no time at all!

Well it took me sometime to arrive at my conclusion. This is probably the hardest DDR to identify. Now I know what areas to to look for these. Die polishing reduces the overall sizes of devices. Thus reducing the enlarged size from the hub doubling the poishing away of the fields makes it normal sized. But something that polishing doesn't remove is the tops of the devices. So then you need to read these. Following the hub doubling SBS (Side-By-Sides) then you can look for what areas you need to see for hub doubling. But what does affect the tops of the coins is circulation wear. Another case that figuring out with the SBS helps us to see it.
