My spouse and I have just found a wonderful 1947 Henning nickel. It was featured on coin Q and A.

Once you have your picture sized and cropped properly (using The Image Optimizer tool) then save THAT picture as a new file. Next, switch to Full Reply, then download that SAVED image to your post using the Download Image tool.

I have wonderful pics however absolutely cannot figure out how to post them..when I try to crop it just shows small section of coin

I understand your frustration when working with the imaging tools. It can be frustrating. Been there, done that!
Do you have a computing geek friend that might be able to help you? That's what I ended up having to do. Good luck!

......And it's not so much "cropping" the image that matters it's SIZING the picture that counts, too.. Cropping equals width and height while sizing refers to image density. Both are important, but they are two different factors when working with images.

I've just recently learned of Henning Nickels. Back when I was a teenager in the early 1970's, a fellow in our coin club gave me a roll of 1947 nickels and said something about them being "funny". I still have them but I've never even looked at them. Is the crippled "R" the best way to tell a Henning from a legit?

The looped R along with the weight are the best ways
My Henning weighs 5.4 grams
