This is my best collection I've put together over the past 10 years just picked up the first 1947 looped henning nickel I've ever seen sell... pictures include my 1939 loop and non-looped nickels. Also note my 39 looped R has the die crack on top of the Monticello.. also have both loop and non-looped nickels for the 1944 in which the looped R has the die crack on top of the Monticello as well Then the hardest of all are my 1947 looped and non-looped nickels.. there are several casting bubbles I've identified as known markers and compared images on-line as well as weight in identifying these Edited by Nickelcollectr85 10/16/2019 7:34 pm

Way cool!
I had a '47 and probably a '39 that I found in change as a kid but I spent them.
I have a few of the '44's.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

This is my 44 looped-R with a die crack also the most common diagnostic 44 henning has which is that fact that he left off the P mint mark above the Monticello. As well as the obverse has a casting bubble in between the letter D and W in the words GOD and WE..

Anybody else with photos of their henning nickels feel free to post them always enjoy seeing them. We all need to keep in mind all the research and die cast bubbles will eventually come together to help discover the last remaining year of this counterfeit. Who knows maybe some one has it stored away in their collection as an error and it's actually the remaining coin waiting to be discovered.
