If real, it would be a die pair #2, the most desirable variety. Can't really tell from the pics in the listing if it has been altered, but it's very, very interesting that this one is not certified. Is it worth bidding on this one?
Opinions?

I don't believe it's genuine. The second 2 is suspicious, and it may be an altered date.

Thank you for the responses. As one of my teachers used to say, "You learn something new every day."

I rather thought this one was suspicious. If a 1922 No-D wandered into my hands, the first thing I'd do is send it in to be authenticated. Unless I had doubts about it and though I could find suckers on ebay.

I have my doubts as well. Doesn't seem to fit any of the three well-know die pairs. Seems to be faint evidence of a D in the blow-up.

Not my area, but nowhere does the ebay ad say it is a no D. I see a weak D.

True, the ebay listing does not state that the coin is a 'NO D' 1922.

There's plenty of time to submit a question to the seller.

The Seller mentions it is a 1922 cent. Nowhere in his listing does It state it is a no-D or weak-D

The Seller is being as deceptive as he can without going overboard.

There are those that will bid on this coin thinking it is a no-D coin that will be disappointed when the see the coin in hand.

I did, in fact, submit a question to the seller a couple of days ago. No reply. Why am I not surprised?

Can't really tell to much from those photos but almost looks real for a real faded weak D.

I think it is a genuine weak D. It is not the no D from die pair 2.

The reverse looks too strong to be a 1922 weak D from die pairs 1, 3, or 4.
