I find heaps of NZ coins with some Fiji and UK coins. Also get Somoa, Tonga, Singapore, Canadian, USA and coins from some of the Arabic countries.

I still occasionally get NZ shillings and florins in bags of coins from the bank. I got a 1958 Australian sixpence the other day passed off as a 5c piece.

Hi all!

I was just wondering if anyone is still finding international coins in there noodling of Australian coins? In particular, has anyone notice the drop off of NZ coins in Australian circulations as the year goes on? Any other interesting finds? Does anybody collect the NZ/Fiji coins they find?

Still getting a few NZ coins each week, with an occasional one from Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, New Caledonia and sometimes an odd one from GB or Europe. Got a GB 20P last week.

I keep all the 'foreigners' and have pretty comprehensive collections for NZ and Fiji, and naturally I have heaps of spares if any one is after any in particular.

Post a list of what you need. If I've got them, they're yours for the asking!

G'day, like most peopl I get my share of kiwi coins.
Second most common for me is Singaporean 10-sen;
and after that is Malysian.
I have a jar for them.

I have a whole stack of foreign coins, of exactly the same planchet specifications as the Australian ones.

I think I will just put them back into circulation, and have some fun!

I emptied my coin jar & found a 1 yuan, 10 Fiji cents and a 2 Euros coin (bi-metallic), plus a couple of standard New Zealand additions.

I still keep any 'international' coins I find during my coin searching. If anyone is interested in swapping them etc I have found a heap of NZ (although these a slowly drying up since the new decimal currency resizing etc) well as some Fiji and other countries. If anyone is interested please let me know!
