Hi all. I noticed what looks like a "Hawaii" stamp center right on this 1953 B Red Seal Two Dollar Bill. Anyone know what causes this?

Seems like there is a minor misaligned overprint and stuck "5" digit on the SN as well.

Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!!

The purple partial "Hawaii" imprint is from a bank teller's stamp. It is not an error.

The partial turned digit is insignificant as far is adding collectible value.

Agree this is a remnant of a teller's stamp that included the word "Hawaii".

I agree with the others and will add, it's kinda cool to see the stamping on an old deuce. It brings interest to an otherwise unremarkable note.
