I got this 1974 D Quarter today, it looks like Washington has stitches on his forehead, an his eye looks odd.. I need help identify please, thank you !!

Sure looks like damage to me, either incidental or deliberate.

Yea I thought the same thing at first glance, then I looked at it again, under the eye an above the eye looked crazy.. Under a magnifying glass it looks like the eye going to pop out the eye socket

Yes I agree that it looks like George has two eyes. However, one of them is damage similar to the pushed-up gouges along his forehead. There might be one on his chin too.

Here's one more pic of the top of head, it looks raised, misaligned, it could be damaged, it didn't look normal to me, so I thought let's ask the community, thank you so much for your help!!
