I like that but have no idea. Definately looks like a wing. Must be a combination of a gouge and a die chip.

Kinda cool, but no added value. Having said that, you might find someone at a coin show who'd give you 25 cents for it.

Generally, these go for a bit under five bucks, which is a lot for such a thing. Not at auction, but at coin shows and BIN on ebay. It's just a peculiar minor error that catches some people's fancy which gives it the premium, as it really isn't much of an error. Other similar coins draw similar prices from this date, although I think 1952-S has more of them.
