I have searched hundreds of boxes for halves, I find error now and then, or I believe they are. Some are missing stars others letters in "Indepe_ _en_e _all". Lots of them very few missing the same letters. Here is an example.


Found-While-CRH-Centennial-Half-Dollar-Missing-Letters-On-The-Reverse
Those with missing stars are more rare. Any value to collectors? Thoughts, grease errors. Webekin

Could have been struck from a grease-filled die.

That is a Struck Through Grease error. The dies incuse devices on that area were blocked, preventing the strike from happening on those devices.

with Spence and coop, grease die. Value? Check ebay's sold listings, but I would guess very little premium.
