"A Solid Silver Coin Signal Is Gone Again!" In scientific terms, the Halo Effect is a conductive increase in target size as seen by the metal detector's electromagnetic field. ... The Halo Effect is ALWAYS associated with either long term burial of an object or highly acidic soils.

I don't think it's a error. Always take your pictures of coins outside the holder. Your probably referring to the cartwheel effect.

And once the coin is ready for long term storage in the 2x2.....flatten those staples, don't want them to cause any damage to other coins stored against it.

90% silver 10% copper, enough to get copper spots. Who knows how long it was in its original packaging and how it was stored. Humidity, temperature, and time are all factors.

It looks like a proof, or has that already been established?
