Hi I am new to the site and was interested in some feedback on a pretty banged up 1969 one dollar bill I was given in change. Its pretty noticeable that the serial number and seal are misaligned but I'm not sure if its something worth hanging on to considering the condition and I'm not sure if its even something common or not.

I am curious as well. Is it a printing error?

I don't think this minor shift would have much of a premium in this condition, but Steve In Tampa should be along shortly to put a dollar value on it.

to the CCF!

Significant enough of a shift that overlaps should be worth a few dollars over face value. 3 or 4 $ in circ, if it was "Unc" maybe 10$.

Welcome to CCF. Looks like a moderate to medium faulty 3rd print error. It's unfortunate it wasn't pulled from circulation before it became so worn. If uncirculated, it might bring $40-$60 or more to the right collector. I'm guessing the back is fine.
