Hi, this is my first post. I recently bought myself the 1909 s vdb Lincoln Cent. Bought it off a reputable dealer who himself got a second opinion on the coin saying that it was real. I'd really like for any of you coin experts to give me your thoughts on it. If you need better pictures, I'll do what I can because this site is stingy when it comes to file size sorry about that. Thanks.

It's really hard to get the whole thing because the whole coin takes over 300 k/b. also would like to know more details like which die was used because I know there were like four dies used for the mintmark for this coin. Also the the "09" in 1909 is slightly weak. Can anyone explain this to me?

I think this is Die Pair #4.

Any opinions on the weakness of the "09" in 1909?

Also want to know an exact grade. My opinion is that it's in fine condition.

Looks genuine, and agree that it's mint mark position #4. The weakness in the 09 may be due to some grease in the die. It looks very similar to this graded one: You'll need to post full photos of the obverse and reverse to get grading opinions. Just crop to show the whole coin and use the image optimizer on this site to reduce the file size.

Agree - unless you can show us full images of both sides, we can't give you a reliable grading opinion.

If you take it out of the 2X2 and then crop on all sides, we'll have a perfect image.
