I'm not sure, but the two coins you show are probably only worth melt value. The crown looks polished which would ruin any numismatic value. The sixpence just isn't a valuable coin, even if it was uncirculated.

What else does this collection contain?

Plenty of Info. on the net but time consuming to check.

Once you get away from the key dates with pre_dec.the Coins have to be close to Unc. to have value, and,as already mentioned, once they have been cleaned the value drops away substantially.

Value is very hard for an average person to assess and requires an experienced eye to tell especial with large collection. As most older collector's would have lumped everything in one pile and therefore for an inexperienced person it just look like a pile of metal.

However let me assure you there is value in this pile of coins
1827 (Gerorgius IV DEI Gratia) Hard to say as you have not put denomination of coin nor image (note high grade or even average grade might be worth as coins in this era can vary in price wildly)
2012 poppy (must be colour) if card even better as these would retail $140-165

Value depends on condition the better the condition the hard it is to obtain therefore higher then value (if mintages Aren't above 1 million of that particular coin and there are enough collectors)
