Not sure if someone was trying to get a little extra silver or trying to enhance lettering and relief around olive branch and star. Report this Post to the Staff

The problem area of the AD on the reverse lines up with the problem area of the olive branch and star on the obverse. Report this Post to the Staff

Morgans Dad Pillar of the Community United States 5604 Posts	Posted 11/22/2008 12:33 pm I think this is an amazing coin for the age, and the design is also very nice.I also feel this was a problem coin at some time, but feel it is still a very nice piece of history.I have never taken the time to look at a Trade dollar, I like the reverse the best, the apparent crack or line on the reverse, adds to the appeal,intresting conversational piece, IN MY OPINION...
