I'll say EF-40 straight.

I'll say XF-45, I think it will squeeze by with a straight grade as well.

First graded it on my phone, but on my laptop it looks like you guys may be right. But a really old cleaning, yes?

AU details, cleaned.
Pretty extensive obverse hairlines, not super obvious but definitely there. The scratches below the eagle's beak also detract.
Not bad overall.

I agree with @Coinfrog, the cleaning looks old, and it has retoned.

I'm more concerned with the more recent parallel scratches below the eagle's beak. A couple of those scratches are fairly deep, and they are noticeable. IMHO, the old cleaning wouldn't detail the coin, but the scratches likely drop-grade it a full point for eye appeal.

Just in terms of technical grade, this would be an "AU slider," what eventually will become EF-48. I think it takes a hit to EF-45 (or EF-40 on a really bad day) for eye appeal if it straight grades.
