Dime Sized 1953 S Penny Error? - Coin Community Forum

Karrieshell New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 08/16/2020 01:05 am Hi! I'm hoping someone can tell me what I have here and how it got this way. It came from my Grandfather's coin collection and appears to be a 1953 S penny but it is the size of a dime and has a very thick rimm that partially obscures the date and lettering. Coins get caught at tumbled for a while, then fall out and sometimes returned to circulation. This one has the classic folded rim of a Dryer Coin.
