Is this 2014p nickel an error of done kind? Or has it just been through the ringer?

to CCF. Looks like environmental damage to me,like a once buried coin found with a metal detector. Looks like acid damage.

Probably a coin from a fountain. Now that the Malls are all closing down, people can pickup the change and no one will see them.
