It's a pretty uniform example of it. Dont see that too much. I can understand what you mean because it looks like the border ring.on the obverse. It just couldn't have happened to the obverse with out more remnants of a clash. But great example
Good eye. I would have pulled it and shown it even just as an example. Keep on questioning stuff. A big part of the reason everyone feels like it's from a rolling machine is because it's not 100% complete, it has a few breaks in the ring and it also distorted the obverse devices in a way that you can see the metal was dragged along with the direction of the roller. A stamped coin would probably be a perfect circle with no displaced metal in one direction or another.
