Hey guys, I sent this in CBH into PCGS to get graded, and I'm fairly sure it is an o-107a, but PCGS said it's an o-107. It seems the diagnostic die chip on nose is here so I'm not sure if I'm wrong or PCGS is wrong. Thanks

I agree with you. I think it should be an O-107a.

Not up to speed on Overton criteria but the David Kahn coin shows the die chip under the serif of the first 1 in the date. Your coin doesn't have the chip. Presumably your coin was struck at an earlier die state. Perhaps the PCGS view is that this chip is required for the 107a designation.

The o-107a example here does not have the die chip.

Also here are the die states in more detail:

O.107 prime die state- no clash marks, cracks, no chip in N (rev)
O.107.1- chip in N
O.107.2- die crack forms between 8 and 1 from rim to bust
O.107.3- crack is lapped off, 1st clash marks appear
O.107.4- multiple clash marks appear, very light crack forms at bridge of nose (most common die state, covers a considerable period of time in the life of the dies)
O.107.5- platinum strikes
O.107.6- die chip forms on bridge of nose
O.107.7- chip forms in serif of 1

Under this criteria it is the o.107.6, which is the "a" die state.

Final example: https://coins.ha.com/itm/a/1258-4946.s#

o-107a graded example with die chip at nose, and no chip under the 1.
