to CCF. Your title reads ICG and the coin is in an ANACS slab? Have you tried to call ANACS? John1

.... to the Community! As far as the coin and slab goes, they look real to me. ( I'm looking at pictures, though. ) You could call ANACS and ask them about it. Have you already bought it or just thinking about buying it? Do you have a return privilege?

I don't know your slab looks counterfeit. This is what an anacs slab looks like. There is no A in you hologram and the lines are different. Followed up with no serial number....

Looks very similar to the ones I've seen on HSN. They do a lot of ANACS with numbered qtys.

IMO, the coin and holder are genuine. The holder appears to be a bulk submission piece whose serial number often does not register on the ANACS web site as a valid certification number.
As stated by wyzeguy, the coin was likely included in a promotion on HSN (or a similar TV coin show) and was one of many they offered.
FYI: I contacted ANACS this morning about the piece and am awaiting their response. They indicated that I should receive an email by COB today or early tomorrow.

I have heard back from ANACS. They have verified that the coin is genuine as is the ANACS holder and certification. They indicated that it is an old cert number that did not get uploaded properly during their last server update. All is good!

Now that that is sorted out, don't overpay for the slab. At the end of the day, it's ANACS so likely won't be a PR70 if crossed to NGC or PCGS and come in as PR69.
Ideally you'd want to get it at as close to spot as he will sell it to you. call up a we buy gold place near you and ask themn what they will pay for it, they won't pay for the grading, or the proof markup and just give you bullion prices.
I'm not saying lowball, but I am saying do not overpay for "PR70" or "05 of 28" or any of that. it's worth about melt whatever it is on that day and that's it,and the we buy gold people will give you a bit less "because they gotta make some money on it".

Never hesitate to ask. The fact that a member followed through on verification for you should be proof enough. This is how we learn. Thanks for sharing!

It appears the OP has forgotten about this post. The last visit to CCF from his/her account was on the day this post was made. I guess he/she found their answer elsewhere!
