Hello,

What would you call this type of strange rim? Is it an technically an error?
There is definitely added thickness to the rim as well.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

-GB

Looks like a misaligned die on the obverse (MAD).

The obverse die was slightly misaligned (mad.) MAD coins can be collectible if they show part of the design is missing. That said, this is an error coin, but just a slight error. If I found this one I would put it in a 2x2 and save it. You may want to keep it if it's your first error find.

Yes a slight MAD. No premium as the devices haven't started to fall off the edge, but a fun find.

Cool thanks Folks - I find it interesting how the rim on the reverse looks they way it does due to the MAD on the obverse. 2x2 ing it.

Thanks again,

Yes, slightly off center, but I don't think it is off center enough to be of extra value.
