Would this be a misaligned die or is there another term for this? Looks like the tops of "Trust" are missing. Thanks!

A keeper. Note the weakness opposite on the reverse area, where the devices are missing/weakened. That is what you should see for a keeper. Not real strong, but meets the requirements, of a collectable MAD coin.
