I'm not an expert, but I don't think so.

Short answer .... not worth grading.

Any added value would be ate up in the grading fees.

Circulated coins like these have been bought by the wholesalers for slightly over face value for the past 40 years. It's not gonna change anytime soon, either!

As a general rule: a coin needs a retail value of at least $150 to justify all costs involved in sending them in for grading to a TPG. Now look up the values in the grades you think they are,are any of them worth $150 or more? http://numismedia.com/fmv/fmv.shtml

It's an Ike, unless it's high mint state and or proof (even then) chances are no.

I thought there is a variety that is rare and worth more than the regular ones. I think it has something to do with the moon on the reverse. Not quite sure, maybe the experts here can help out with the details.

DD, there's a great book for you - "Collectible IKE Varieties - Special aedition" By the IKE group.
it's what I use for ID'ing IKEs.

I wouldn't, but the 1976-d Type 1 is a good looking coin to my standards! I would definitely get it in a holder.

Most of these are worth little over face value. I can buy large amounts of Ike dollars at my LCS for $1.25 a piece, even proofs sometimes. Not worth grading IMO. Still a very neat coin and a nice little collection you have there!
