Good day all,

I just received this 1889 Morgan dollar from my Mom who was gifted these coins in 1977 and were just found the other day! The glass of the frame they were in broke and tarnished this one and some others.

Please let me know what grade would you give this coin? Thank you!

I'll say AU-55, possibly details (obverse polished).

Yeah, 55 or thereabouts. The toning is not attractive but shouldn't affect the value.
This is a common-date coin, probably worth $25 - $30.

Obverse looks possibly polished some time ago.

The obverse and reverse don't seem to match in quality.
The reverse say to me XF.
The obverse says to me cleaned/polished.
If that's the case then it has only bullion value.

I think the toning on the OBV is going to be a big problem. AU details.
