This one is graded with PCGS and is what I think is a pretty tough VAM the 30A clashed TY reverse. Very cool coin. it has lots of luster though more greasy luster like my 1903 p Morgan. the holder is rough on the reverse at the breast feathers so I also included the PCGS True View pics she just arrived yesterday and is one of my favorites now. Curious all your thoughts on what she is graded . I have my thoughts on what she really is as opposed to what she is graded . Edited by JasonKflo 08/15/2020 12:13 pm

Lots of chatter on Lady Liberty's face. Eagle breast looks flat-ish, but the hair around the ear on the obverse looks pretty good. I'll say MS-64, but I am still getting used to grading Morgans, and I wouldn't be shocked if it was given MS-63 (the lustre doesn't come through in the photos).

the 87(O) are typically weak and the reverse on this one puts it right in that box. the cheek and mouth area are a little banged up. AU58 or MS63. I'm leaning MS

I want to say 64, but I'm going 65.

Looks mint state, with an above average strike for a New Orleans Morgan. Chatter on Liberty's face and neck and the shallow scrape on the eagle's wing stand out as detractions. I'd guess MS-63.

I think it might have been given MS62, looks like a weak strike.

I am with the comment of weak strike. Major hits around Liberty's mouth. MS62

Just to be different, I'll say AU-58.

I think MS-63 is about right, based on the face condition.

Was going to grade your coin MS-63. Looks nice! My VAM-30A that I acquired a few years ago, grades MS-63, and I purchased the coin as a normal 87-O Morgan. Did you cherry pick yours? Congrats either way as this has unique clashing, and it is a bit difficult to acquire!
