Thanks for looking. Trying to get an idea of grade on this 1970 S Lincoln Cent. I believe it is a small date. Thanks!

I believe that's a small date. Position of the 7 seals it for me. Weak(er) LIBERTY too. MS62 for me.

Small. As coop has posted before - the curl of the 9 on the small is tighter. The large 9's curl points at the very base of the 7.

Why didn't you take all the pictures the same as the last one? In the last picture you captured the surfaces and color correctly but cut most of the coin off. I was going high AU until I saw that picture, now you need to show the whole coin just like that.

PS - Notice your background, it's white - like it must be for coin photography. In all your other pics the background is almost black. What that tells us is that your white balance setting was off in the first pics.

Ideally, you ALWAYS want to use a white background for coin photography. This is mainly to validate your white balance calibration. If you cannot adjust WB on your camera, adjust your lighting until you get it.

That last picture showed you have the hardware to take decent shots - just make some adjustments and you're there for the internet.

Wow thanks everyone. I truly appreciate the photography lesson. I am learning and that really helps. My phone also has an auto setting where it "cleans up photos" so I will work with that, my background and lighting. Thanks again!
