We then would have said they have a Magician's coin. ...sort of like the one you see in the second picture which includes the slab. So is the seam a part of the slab? Although its discovery was too late to appear in the Pollock pattern reference, it was included in the Judd reference beginning with the 8th edition. Shop CCF Members on eBay. Seriously, I do know fakes are something PCGS and others have a very good record on. Their guarantees are specific on the matter and so they are much more careful with suspected fakes. I am sure they checked this oddity out thoroughly. And at least they were sure enough on it to give their opinion... unlike the 1959 D LWC they will not comment on (don't blame them!).
