sirguardian Valued Member United States 354 Posts	Posted 08/28/2020 6:36 pm I read an article on Morgan dollars concerning toning and how it occurs.There was a reference to the material(s) in which the coins is stored. For example, a satchel (canvas bag) as well as earlier folders for collecting with materials/dies/chemicals for such folders react with the metals causing the tone. Just wanted to put that out there.
