If they stopped then why is it that I have one sitting right in front of me? I'm sorry but isn't that why it would be a variety or error if it was allegedly stopped and someone made a mistake and put it in population for someone to discover during this Pandemic? Accidents can and do happen this just so happens to be one. Sorry if my camera isn't an iPhone to where the pics are better but it's right there in your face. #accidentshappen/variety/error

If you have a jeweler's loupe, you can put it in front of the camera lense and get a closer, more clear picture. I do that with an Ipad.

If you are so absolutely sure what you have then send it in and get it graded , and please be sure and let us know the results.

Quote: Accidents can and do happen this just so happens to be one. I think the issue is not whether accidents happen, because of course they do. In order for the coin to have an OMM the die would have had to have been used at one mint and then shipped to the other to be used there. This was part of the mint's normal operating procedure in the past (which is why we do have some genuine OMM's) but by 1969 each mint had their own hubs and dies to use so there was no sharing. No sharing of hubs and dies means no OMM's. Sorry, but that's the only way it can happen.

Not sure what you expect us to see from those pics.... Grainy and impossible to see anything. If that is what you are using to CRH you are wasting your time.... Also a few days ago you apologized for the cocky attitude as a new variety collector towards some of the people on here with lots of knowledge yet your attitude remains the same even when presented with the facts (OMM ended in 1955)

Your coin isn't an OMM. It's impossible, sorry.

Danaro, as much as we would like to help you, your pics are too grainy for proper identification. If you are using a mobile device for pic taking, I would then recommend that you resize your images while keeping the level of quality from the original pic. I hope this helps

Same here GC. Sadly it is what it is and we can't change that.

Danaro1: Your coin is a normal Circulated Coin there are NO OMM's after 1955 as John 1 and Coin The Term stated in there post. Making it Impossible for you to have a 1969 D/S in your possession unless its a Fake. Your coin is a spender.

We have members who have lesser cameras they have learned to use, so I encourage you to practice to improve your images. We are willing to help you figure out the photography end, but we cannot magically transform your coin into something it's not. As been explained, there are no OMM after 1955, so it is not possible for you to have a D over a S mintmark. As far as we can tell, every part of your coin appears to be normal (what were you trying to point out on LIBERTY?). As been suggested, if you are absolutely certain of your unique claim, you really should send it in to PCGS to have it graded and verified, and please photograph the label upon it's return to show us. We would LOVE to be proven wrong! Best of luck!

so here it is , you have something that you are not sure of, you come here to ask for help, but you don't like the help you are getting. Here is something I like to tell people. You can go to a dealer near you, or look for a coin club ,last you can look for a coin show near you. Take it in hand to see what they say. or you can spend the money to send it out. I've been in your shoes, and this forum is here to help, so don't get mad, just wait till the next guy looks at it, and see what they say. If you make the PRO'S mad you will never know anything. This is what they do everyday, they take time out of their day to help ,not babysit .Maybe you can ask a friend to help take a good pic of your coin next time. good luck ,and happy hunting
