Not sure why it's out of mint tolerance, perhaps just old age worn down? Also, one of my weaknesses is determining LWC Class VI DDRs. Could this be DDR-001? Perhaps from side by sides would be helpful. Thank guys.

Wear could account for this discrepancy. I would think. Can't help on the DDR issue.

Coin wear, that is. If it were die wear, the coin would be normal weight. So circulation wear is how it lost weight.

A heavy dose of circulation wear is the culprit. Not seeing indications of a DDR.

Coin is a 1921-S. I believe that is a key date if I'm not mistaken.

1921 S semi-key at best. 15 million minted.

Looks heavily circulated. Maybe MD on the reverse?
The E P dot doesn't look stretched and the "doubling" looks on the East side where VV shows it on the West.

Definitely not the same die marriage as ddr-001 as the obverse mintmark location is not the same on the OP's coin.
I'm in agreement with others about not seeing any evidence of hub doubling on the reverse.
