2020 D Quarter - Die Deterioration /Struck Through Grease Along Edge?

Hey everyone,

I had an uncirculated bank roll of 2020 D Salt River Bays that I was looking through and about 1/4 the roll had the same wear (weak strike) on the outer edge of the lettering on the obverse. Thought it was odd, what do you all think?

Probably not interesting enough to keep, but I had not seen this before...

Possible die wear? It could be MD on the outer edges as well.

I'm gonna lean towards DDD and slight grease,a spender in my opinion. Very nice photos,what are you using?
