Hello folks! I had purchased a small set of Barber dimes of various dates to fill the holes in my collection. On inspection on one of them (the 1893 S Barber dime looks like the mint mark is superimposed over another slightly offset S mint mark. What do you all think?

I had to use my jewelers magnifier scope to enlarge the image before I took the picture with my phone. (explains the slight distortion at the edges of the image)

Very nice repunched mintmark! This one is FS-501/RPM-001, one of the most popular RPMs in that series. Very good find.

Thanks! I guess my poor eyesight is a huge help now. Because of my old post cataract eyes, I had to buy the magnifier to see the dates and mint marks on my coins. I use it on all my coins now to see what I can find. It's a 30x22mm lens and a super close up lens of 60x12mm. I'm thinking of getting a larger one that I can set up so I can just slide a coin under it easier.

Check out USB microscopes. They can be quite affordable and will allow you to use your computer screen to examine coins up close. Many come with their own stand and lights.

Cool variety.
I wonder what an uncirculated, early-die-state would look like? Think I'll browse the Heritage archives....
