I have 4 1957 a and b blue seal Silver certificates and was wondering how much they are worth. There's no low serial numbers, no repeating numbers, no off center cut, no stars, and their almost uncirculated, just curious of what I should ask for them cause I see all different values on them. Thank you

Unless completely UNC, not much value. More than face, but nothing substantial. What you can get for them will depend on the market - retailing them in Canada, we used to get $3-10 CAD depending on grade, in the UK, I get £3-10, as they are more unusual in Europe.

Welcome to CCF. I agree with the above. Unless uncirculated, these typically sell for $2-$5 each. I give them to my young nephews and nieces to spark an interest in collecting.

Thank you guys, I posted them on offer up for $40 and within 5 mins I have someone asking if I'd like to trade for 8 mint proof sets ranging from 1970 to 1991 and he was asking $215 for his, so just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I mean, proof sets are a tough sell, but I'd take that deal ASAP before the guy's crack wears off...

That deal sounds too good to be true. I would take it. The 1957 blue seals my local dealer gives $2 for uncirculated examples. Circulated he gives $1.

I buy them for $1.50 and try to get $3 for them in circ.
I'd also run for that trade!

The guy finally got back to me and is saying I can pick 1 out of the 8. He has years 91, 85, 82, 79, 78, 73, 71, and 70. Should I trade and if so which year would be the best? Also I'm just looking for a profit, not too add to my collection.

Each of those proof sets would sell for less than $10...probably $5 each on average and a couple dollars more for the '73, '78, and '79 because they have a dollar coin. I wouldn't trade 4 almost uncirculated silver certificates for just one of those proof sets unless there was a specific coin I really wanted out of one. If you are looking for a profit (and we're only talking about a few dollars here) I would not do the trade.
