I use these quite often for some of my nicer raw coins. I know that the technology in these stops further toning of coins and protects them against certain environmental factors. Does anyone know if they protect against further corrosion? I just read the olive oil thread and don't want to use that.

If it was this thread, I discussed mineral oil, not olive oil--big difference. Sorry to bring up that subject here. I have not used intercept shields (only airtites), but I would also be interested to hear how people like them.

Sorry Kurt. That's right. It was mineral oil. I'll tell you what, I have used these for years and most coin suppliers say you cannot find a better holder to protect your raw coins. These were developed in part with Lucent Technologies.

I've only heard those are pretty good. Nothing above the normal though. As to Lucent. USED to be a great company. Now gone and replaced with ALU. Saying developed by a failing organization is not a great selling point though.
