Just curious as to why this penny is splitting apart/separating around the rim on boths sides and along the top part of memeorial? The edge is normal.

Split plating is affecting your coin. When the zinc gets oxygen, then it reacts with raising, push the plating in upwards:

In time they will just be another copper colored Hershey's wrapper. No hope for these. All spenders. Put them back to work.

It's the way of the ZINC ! I 'd rather deal with copper. Too bad it's too expensive .
