They said they are interested in continuing the coin series. I am not fond of the idea of continuing uncirculated Morgans/Peace.

They would start to compete with the ASEs. I mean, how many bullion series can you have before the public becomes tired of them?

The ASEs have more silver though.

As Carlp007 Kindly Posted the " Law " Stating There is No completion date for This Series..... Personally, I LOVE the George T Morgan Creations. His name is Synonymous with Distinctive, Quality Craftmanship.!! His Silver Dollar design was Greatly Appreciated, and became, Greatly Collected. In My Collecting Opinion, The Man had Talent, the World could Clearly See and was Clearly Welcome Too..... After reading his story , I Appreciate His Drive and Perfection....... Collecting, His works of Art, Die Breaks, Clashes, VAM Varieties, Peace dollars Included Too...... My Opinion, The Mint, in driving towards Creating Collectables, Would make more Varieties, Finishes, and Allow the Anniversary Minted Editions, to Remain Special After 100 Years............

It's almost October 1st. Any idea when they will start processing payments for these dollars?
I need to make a deposit soon.

I'm not picking on you.

The Mint states:
A bullion coin is an investment-grade coin that is valued by its weight and fineness of a specific precious metal. Unlike commemorative or numismatic coins valued by limited mintage, rarity, condition, and age, bullion coins are purchased by investors seeking a simple and tangible means to own and invest in the gold, silver, platinum, and palladium markets.

I'm not sure you would classify Morgan's, Peace dollar, or any other .999 silver coin/medal (commemorative, silver proof sets, presidential medals, etc...) as silver bullion coins. I do not see these coins competing with the ASE. These coins and medals have a specific niche.

The Mint states:
The United States Mint, like other world mints, does not sell its bullion coins directly to the public. Instead, we distribute our coins through a network of official distributors called "authorized purchasers" who, in turn, create a two-way market buying and selling to precious metals wholesalers, private investors, and local bullion coin dealers.

Someone posted on the new reverse proof ASE topic the warehouse is understaffed, had a Covid outbreak there. The Morgan Peace may mail out slowly also, when...we'll have to wait and see.

I guess I should have said: "How many expensive, precious metal containing coin and medal series can you have before the public becomes tired of them or can no longer afford them?"

Yeah, at some point the more casual collector will have to make some tough choices.

Me too. I have been sitting on $800.00 in my wallet ready to put on my card for payment. (I don't like to pay for things in cash, so It's my way to keep it safe).

The USPS announced new standards for some deliveries, longer times, and reduced open hours. This and Covid delays may result in our Morgan Peace taking even longer to arrive.

If the mint can't handle their current production volume then they need to cut the crap - ornaments, medals, different packagings for the same ASE coins, etc. etc. etc.

Umm, no. They would not look right. these are meant to be silver and ONLY silver. If the Mint went out of their way to make a clad version, I would still say nope!
