I'd say that the Mercury dimes are a fair deal if you both want and like the coins. The silver value for 1 Mercury dime is currently around $0.73 each.

It depends on the condition of the Indian Head penny. If you like it then you can't go wrong with buying it and enjoying it.

If you like the coins I think you should get them. Just my opinion.

a dollar for a Mercury dime is good. Most dealers are asking around 10-11+x face value for 90% silver coins. If you can find them much cheaper, jump on it.

As for indian head pennys, I don't think 1.50 is a good price, I've seen them for 75 cents for common dates but I don't collect indian head pennys.

Agree with what has been said.

To me, the key factor is knowing what the approximate worth of the coin is. Then it is up to me whether I want to pay more for it. I only have one coin dealer close to me and I do go down occasionally and buy a coin just because "I want to". And I have paid more than I should sometimes, but I knew I was paying more than the cheapest price and I was ok with that.

That is what lets you sleep at night!
