Still learning about doubling on Lincoln cents. I have a 1980-D that the year and Liberty look like what could be doubling, but not really sure..Im guessing its not, but wanted to ask. I can provide more photos if needed

To better assess what's going on, posting full, clear photos of the coin's obverse and reverse would help. Thanks.

 with ijn1944. Better photos would help. Generally with need clear, sharp photos of both sides of the coin and close-ups of all areas in question.

Note the overall size of those devices. They are thinner than normal, which means the die was over polished. So the wear wear is slowing moving towards the left direction (in the direction of the closest rim) which is normal as the die ages. Doubling enlarges the devices. Note on a 1980 DDO:  Note how much smaller the devices are on your image? So look for doubling on the central area of doubled dies, They will be enlarged on the centers, not on the outside edges.

So is it Doubling or Machine Doubling? Sorry, not 100% sure from your answer... The Liberty on mine appears to have the signs of the DDO picture you added, but again, you guys know way more so I'm not even gonna try and answer it! Thank you!
