I found this in some pocket change. It's in mint condition. Just wondering if it's worth anything or at least hanging on to. Sorry about the lighting in a couple of pics. I don't have much to work with.

Hi, I think it's a die crack but what's with the 6 on the date of your first image? Can we have a clearer photo of your date? Thanks

Excellent die crack.. but please tell me we can come up with a better name than "drooling Lincoln".. although that's the first thing that came to mind! Quick, another name please!

Looks like it could be a bubble in the plating to me.

I agree with rockdude, only because if you look slightly to the right of whatever the anomaly is there seems to be a pattern of rough "bubble" surface that runs in the same direction as the "drool" (great name for it by the way!)

It's not evidence of a die break. The line is caused by bubbles in the plating.

Thanks,
Bill

Take a toothpick and press on the supposed crack. A bubble in the plating will be soft and press down. That's what I do when I'm unsure. It looks a little "puffy" to be a crack.

Yup, definitely bubbling in the plating. It has nothing to do with a die crack.
