VF30 OBV1 I'd agree with VF35 but traditional Canadian grading doesn't include such a number, although CCCS has been using it quite recently and only for one volume customer.

That's into the weeds for me - I'll just listen in from here on.

I'm a Canadian traditionalist. Our southern neighbors have no problem with y'all or VF35, I just can't, they're like curse words. How about CCCS VF30. Me, a very nice VF30.

Thinking closer to VF-20 myself. Lots of wear in the hair, eye and bun. Some nice detail in the braid and a nice reverses as well but I don't think that brings it up to VF-30.

VF-20; too much wear for VF-30

I would honestly be putting it at VF-20 myself.
What intrigues me most is DBM's comment about a volume customer getting VF35 which lead me to an answer I did not know used CCCS a lot.
Just to mention I also believe Canadian grading does not allow for VF-35 but I will happily grade a US coin VF-35.

I am certainly not an expert of any sort....but my gut feeling goes with Silver 101....VF(20)

Has anyone out there used CCCS for Newfoundland coins? If so, I'd be curious to hear what the experience has been like.... for that matter, their track record with Canadian coins would also be of interest. I have close to zero experience with them.
They have hard slabs I see but there's no Newfoundland in the POP reports. I was thinking that they might be good for coins that are not likely to be valued all that highly but still merit a grade. PCGS is too expensive for any coin that's not fairly far up the food chain....

This one a VF-20. There's not enough detail in the braid looping under the ear for it to be any higher.
Cheers

This is still a old flip where Louis forgot an R in the text. That was some time ago and he graded extremely conservative at the time.

It's trying hard to be a VF-20 but I'm totally comfortable at F-15.
